As A Sales Resource

You may not realize this, but Google can be used as an excellent sales resource.

In addition to doing routine searches using Google there are other applications you might want to consider.

Here's a short list of links you can use to help you grow your business and to become more productive in your sales territory.

Google News Alerts

Use this address to keep tabs on your competition, sales prospects, and your customers. Truly an invaluable resource! This is like a clipping service on steroids.

It is an excellent way to keep tabs on your customers, sales prospects and competition. It also a good way to keep tabs on what's being said about you and your company.

Google Chrome Download

A free browser that lets you do more of what you like online! This browser is pretty slick and a good alternative if you're tired of using Explorer.

Google Maps

Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions using Google Maps. I like this better than MapQuest.

Google Images

The most comprehensive image search on the web. Simply type in a word or a phrase, and if a picture exists, you’ll see it. This is amazing.

This is an excellent resource if you need photos for a presentation or a sales proposal.

Using this link I did a search for the Apple iPhone. Lots of images to choose from that you can use in your sales presentations and sales proposals.

Search Books

Search to find the full text of books. Just type in the title of the book to see what the contents are all about.

It's a great way to try before you buy!

Desktop Search On Your Computer

Search your computer as easily as you search the internet with the Google Desktop Search function.

Find and launch applications and files with just a few keystrokes. This is the easiest way to find something you're looking for that's buried deep into the bowels of your computer system.

Find Blogs

Find Blogs on your favorite topics.

Google Adwords to promote anything

Use this address to create Pay per Click Ads you might be able to use to generate new business leads. Don't rule out Google Ads as a way of generating leads for your business.

Put Ads on your website

Don’t overlook putting ads on your home page and other web pages. Chances are either you or your company have a website. If you have a website why not consider some incremental income using Google AdSense.

Use Google as a sales resource and let Google do the heavy lifting for some of your work.

Consider Google as a primary sales resource when you need answers to your questions and information for almost anything.
