Pat
My wife and I spent a weekend at a hotel in the town close to us. I looked around for a room service menu, and when I couldn't find one, I called the front desk.
The clerk said, in a very proper voice, "I'm sorry, we don't have room service, but both the pub and the fancy restaurant are open, and you can take your meals back to the room."
I said that was fine, it wasn't a big deal, but no sooner do I head for the door, than the phone rings.
It's the same clerk, and he says, "What would you like me to bring up to your room?"
I have stayed at that same hotel every year now. One little act of kindness, going above the ordinary.
